2026 Waterstone Waves Swim Team

Swimmers who are 14 and younger as of June 1, 2026 are allowed to participate. The 6 and under swimmers must be able to swim freestyle or backstroke HALF the length of the pool. The 7-14 year old swimmers must be able to swim the ENTIRE length of the pool.

All children ages 6 and under will be evaluated during the first 3 days of practice to determine if they are ready to be on the swim team. If the coaching staff determines that your child is not ready for the swim team, you will receive a refund of your registration fee.

Swim Practice Schedule:

Swim practice will run from 5/27 to 6/25. There will be no practice after June 30th in observance of Independence Day.  Below is our practice schedule (ages as of June 1):

Morning Practice Schedule

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

6 years old and under 10:00-10:30 am

7-8 years old 8:45-9:15 am

9+ years old 9:15-10:00 am

Evening Practice

Monday & Wednesday

6 years old and under 5:30-6:00 pm

7-8 years old 6:00-6:45 pm

9-10 years old 6:45-7:30 pm

11+ years old 7:30-8:00 pm

The times listed above are the times the swimmers will be practicing in the water. All swimmers should arrive to the pool at least 10 minutes prior to the start of practice to stretch on deck.

Please plan on attending as many practices as your schedule allows. Attendance will not be taken. If the weather is iffy (below 68 degrees) please make sure your child has tennis shoes. If it is too cold to get in the water, the coaches will have the kids do exercises and fun games on the pool deck. If practice is canceled we will send out a text alert and/or email communication.  Be sure to download the Swim Topia mobile app.

Swim Meet Schedule:

The meet schedule is posted on the calendar along with the special events for the season. You will need to RSVP each swimmer online 48 hours in advance for each meet.

Volunteers:

If your child is to be involved on the swim team, it is understood that one parent will be expected to volunteer to work 3 entire meets. Parents will sign up online when registering your swimmer for the season. If you do not show up for your scheduled volunteer time, or find a replacement, you will be charged $50 per meet.
